jesus loves me, this i know?
For the Bible tells me so... Well it is simple, right? It was one of the first songs many of us learned to sing. You should hear my 2 yr old Nephew's rendition - amazing! I want to simply suggest that we need NOT get over this song - ever.I know that Jesus loves me... but I don't know. I tend to act like someone who has forgotten this reality. I act as if other people's opinions are more important than His. As an approval addict, I search for the respect and acceptance of everything breathing. WHY? Because - a great deal of the time - I doubt His love and acceptance. Yet the gospel sings another story!
My hope and prayer for us this semester is that we would hear this song and believe it. As we discuss "Dating, Marriage, and Sex," I want us to constantly go back to the foundation of all our relationships - the foundation of Jesus and His hear for us.
